What is it? Who Can Wear the Brightest Shirt???

8:58 am Movies, TV and Music

Ok, here’s a random annoyance.  Where I work they have these TVs in the room that are always set to CNBC.  That’s the first thing, you think we could have something more entertaining on.  But here’s the real annoyance.  I’ve noticed over the last couple of days that some of the female anchors are wearing progressively brighter clothing.

Is this some sort of contest???

Today one of them is wearing bright yellow, another is wearing bright pink.  Yesterday it was orange and white.  If the TV wasn’t distracting enough…now every time one of them comes on I have to almost block my eyes from the neon shirts they are all wearing!  I swear it’s a contest because it wasn’t this way just a few weeks ago.

Is this really necessary?  Do we have to try to brighten up the news by using neon colors?  Why not brighten up the news by actually reporting on positive things!

Now I know a lot of you might say, “Well, if it annoys you why not just turn the TV off.”  Good point.  But every time I do that someone else just turns it back on.  So it’s a lost cause.  Oh well, hopefully this is just a spring thing….I can only wait and see.

No kidding, all the news talks about his either how many people were murdered over night or where else the president bombed, it’s annoying.

Yeah, but if all they talked about was “good news,” the ratings would be so low that they would go off air. People, in general, want to hear about the bad stuff; maybe they find more excitement in it… In fact, I once heard of an “all good news” channel that had to shut down because nobody wanted to watch ‘em.

As for “who can wear the brightest shirt?” I dislike bright and/or neon colors, but other people can look like a radiating moron all they want, for all I care. Personally, I’d rather see girls with big boobs and wet t-shirts telling the news; now that would brighten things up a bit, no wouldn’t it? Ha-ha!

Personally, I don’t really bother with what they are wearing or something, what makes me think when watching is that the message they want to transmit to the viewers. I mean the story of the characters and the whole thing of it. Is it something that makes your life lighter or is it something that makes you dumb the rest of the day?

I know…..I hate bright shirts…they must have been starved for attention during their teenage years, and are now crying out..look at me…and my bright shirt. Oh, I noticed you’re #1 on google for the phrase “brightest shirt”

I dont have anything against bright shirts but too much of anything is bad. I dont know why there is this trend among news anchors. Well maybe covering up for make up glitches!
