Wedding Favor Ideas - Here’s a Fun One

8:22 am Just Random!

Ok, here in Utah I haven’t really seen much in the way of wedding favors. In fact, whenever I hear of them I think it must be more of an ‘out east’ thing. But I thought this was a pretty original idea: plants!

Talk about an original when it comes to wedding favor ideas! I’ve seen all sorts of things before, but this is one of the more original that I’ve seen. One of the things I’ve always thought was boring about a lot of the wedding receptions that I’ve gone to was the decor. Most of them are very very bland; they just throw on some nice table cloths and put pictures in the middle of the table.

Well the nice thing about using plants as a wedding favor idea is that they can also double up as wedding reception table decorations. So you’re really killing two birds with one stone, which makes the wedding planning all the more easier if you ask me. And hey, it will even please all of your friends who are worried about global warming or are a little more environmentalist minded. Granted, I wouldn’t invite those people because they probably aren’t my friends…but I digress.

That’s a great idea! It’s nice to make some twist to usual wedding decorations. Atleast with that decor it’s eco-friendly.

I have seen the link which you have in the text, that’s really great idea. Normally when people use bouquet of cut flowers this looks good, but such flowers die in a few day and you can save them only in your memory or in the photos or videos from the wedding day. But in this case you can save each plant what is really great or you can make presents to your guests and give them few plats from the wedding like a memory of this BIG day. Personally I have a deal with my husband, when he wants to bring me a flower this should be a plant. Like this I have a full house of a great plants and this looks much better then bouquet of cut flowers.

I thought so too! It’s great when people do something a little more unique. I think it makes it more of a memorable experience for the people that come to the wedding.

We will definitely give a time to think about this idea.As a wedding service provider, i do personally think that plants can be use as a decor. The question is, what type of plant? What if the bride or groom doesnt like it?

I guess you’d have to clear it with them, but they do make a great decor!

plants symbolize life and fertility, which are symbols that are important at a wedding. I think a plant centerpiece is a great idea

I agree that favors are new to Utah or something. I got married in Utah and we have favors sitting on the table (boxed candies with our names and a thank you note written on them) but in the end I think only 10% of our guest took them home. When I talked to people later most of them said they didn’t realize they were suppose to take them home.

That is such a great idea. I don’t know why reception places look bland. Maybe its due to them wanting to appeal to heaps off people?

And don’t forget it is not that it is cheap dresses on supply, but in most cases the cost savings are past on to you personally.
