The Copy Machine is Still There

5:58 pm Just Random!, Random Gripings

So when I went to work yesterday I did a quick little poll of some of the guys that I work with to see if they were also aware of the fact that garbage men won’t put stuff in the dumpster for you.  It seems like most of them were aware of this, but a few others didn’t seem to understand my point.

Well, this morning when I took the trash out the printer was still there.  Not only that, but the dumpster was all crooked because they had to try to not put the dumpster down on top of it!

I had some interesting comments from the previous post, and one guy even said that this is common most places he’s been, including the Bahamas.  So I want to start a public awareness statement with this blog:

If you don’t put your trash in the dumpster it’s going to stay there!!!

There, maybe I’ll change the world with this…ok, probably not, but it was fun right? :-)

over here, someone would have probably picked that up to either repair it, or scavenge for parts and material. :)

I thought about that, but I don’t know enough about copy machines to do it!

That thing probably works better than the copier at my office.

the copier is kind of funny but its not really funny.
it looks start there, on the street, under the light.

in london the local council is legally obliged to collect all stuff dumped like this. and they do.

and we pay for it in taxes but it seems to work because individuals don’t seem to want to pay for individual items to be removed. or a certain number of individuals….there must be an economic equation for this somewhere.

this is not a real picture of the copier I’m talking about, I just found this image on Flickr. But the funny thing, the copy machine is still by my dumpster…

This is a hilarious blog. You should definitely get back to it. I found this one particularly funny because you followed up a day or so later…

LOL. Of course they’re not going to pick it up. All garbage companies have the policy that if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t go with ‘em.
