The Best Pet I Ever Had

Growing up I had a lot of different pets. I had hamsters, gerbils (which got stepped on or eaten by the cats), cats, dogs, etc. But honestly, the best pet that I ever had was a pet tarantula.
Normally when I tell people this they think it’s gross or something, but it was honestly the coolest pet. I didn’t have to feed it very often. And when I did feed it we’d have a good time watching it hunt down and catch the crickets we gave it.
The other great thing about a tarantula is that they aren’t moody really. You’ll know if its ticked because they rear up on their hind legs, and mine never got into that position.
Also, they molt! I had a rose hair which is a brown spider with reddish longer hairs. But right after molting it’s black with reddish hair. It was so sweet looking after it molted!
So anyway, this was the best pet I ever had. My spider’s name was Lloth (after the Spider Queen from a series of books I was reading at the time). Too bad when I got married my wife didn’t like it too much….my spider died at my parents’ house

Oh man, I love rose hair tarantulas. I want another one so bad, but my wife is all about the cats, I got 3 of ‘em running around right now. At least I have my saltwater tank too which is pretty cool.

she was a great pet, until she peed on you. Oh wait, she never did it to you, just to me…..twice.

I used to work with those little furry guys, and my hands would get ithcy, so I had to wear gloves when handling them. They were pretty calm guys, didn’t mind me moving them around to clean their cages and feed them. But I never did have any interest in owning one for a pet.

They are cute, looks like hairy balls whit legs, I would like to have one someday

Nice name..Lloth..hmm..for me,the best pet we ever had in our house is our dog right now named vincent.He is totally so sweet. He always welcome us after we came from school, work or anywhere else.He is much a member of our family.We love him so much!

Cats are cute too.I had also experienced having cat at home.But now, we stick with our dog.If you don’t mind,why do you want cat to be a pet?why don’t you try to have a pet?Pets can also help us to decrease the stress we felt after work.

I had cats growing up and have just decided that I don’t want an animal running around the house destroying things. That and I live in a 3rd story condo right now and have always vowed that I would never have pets in a condo or apartment.
Whoah..That’s your lifestyle,I can’t try to convince you again to have pets.Maybe there are people who hate pets, not because of simple things.It is because They are not enjoyed having.Anyways,have a great day!

I guess the most exotic looking creatures or pets I’ve had in the house were tropical fish, back in my aquarium days. I had tanks all over the place. Other than that, it has just been a bunch of cats (mostly outside) and one loyal dog that I’ve had for nearly 14 years.
But, I hardly think any of those pets are as exotic, bizarre, and unique as a pet Tarantula!
Yikes!
I hope they are more tame than they look…
Well anyway, I think I’ll go back to my land of mythical madness full of myths, legends, and folklore, as the beings found within those concepts are neither here nor there… Ha!
