I’ve been excited for this movie to come out for a while now, and something happened the other day that made me even more excited for it: I found out that it’s PG-13!
As a rule, I generally don’t bother seeing R rated movies. They’re usually just a little too over the top whether it be in language, violence, sex, and other things. So when I learned that Terminator Salvation was PG-13 it made me think that they’ll actually be able to focus more on the story rather than just the blood and guts!
This is looking to be a great year for movies so far. Between Star Trek, Terminator, and Transformers there will be plenty to see!

I guess you have to be careful seeing a movie when you’ve really never heard much about it. I thought that I had heard someone tell me that it was a good movie, but now I’m wondering who said that cause I have to disagree!
So the basic idea behind the site is that Will Smith’s character has obviously gone through something tramatic, but they don’t say what of course until the very end. You do get pretty obvious hints here and there though. So he has been doing all sorts of nice things for people, but you can also tell that he hates himself and is suicidal.
I guess what bothers me most was the whole premise…it’s just kinda weird. So he causes a tragedy, and to make up for it kills himself to donate organs? Yeah, not really the uplifting movie I might have been hoping for!
So unless you want to be depressed, I don’t recommend this one.

Last night my wife and I watched the movie Bedtime Stories starring Adam Sandler. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s about a guy that tells his niece and nephew bedtimes stories, but whatever they add to the story actually comes true in real life.
Cute show! It would have been better without some of the unnecessary ‘Adam Sandler humor’, but overall it was a really cute show.
I do have to wonder though, what was up with the guinea pig? The big eyes thing was pretty freaky, and I always find it annoying when they have animals making non-human sounds.
Anyway, a few things that were kinda dumb about it, but it’s a kids story so what do you expect? Cute show if you want to check it out.

Why is it that so many comedies have to throw in one thing that makes it so I would never want to see the movie again, let alone buy it? Well, that’s what happened with Yes Man.
Honestly, there was a lot of funny stuff in this film and for the most part I liked it. But they had to throw in one completely unnecessary thing that makes it so I don’t think I’ll ever recommend this movie to anyone.
So, if you go to see this one, just skip the scene where he helps out the old lady. Not cool, unnecessary, and honestly gross. That one scene ruined what otherwise was a pretty funny movie.
I’m annoyed with Hollywood. I have been for years honestly. I mean think about how many movies would have been great, but they had to throw in one little thing that makes it so you have to say, “Yeah, great movie…except for that one part.” Or, “I loved that show, but I always skip this one part…” Why don’t they just leave the one part out? I’m also very annoyed with all of the masturbation references lately as well. I mean seriously, if you think about it how many good films (Transformers for example) have had a masturbation reference lately.
I think I may be done seeing movies for a while. I’m tired of the crap. Anyone want to join me?

I watched a lot of movies over the weekend, and I have to say that the best one that I saw was Traitor starring Don Cheadle and Guy Pierce.
This is one of those movies that sorta keeps you wondering all along what is really going on. I remember at some points I thought I knew, but then there was a twist that would change my mind. But even after I figured it out, it was a really really good movie. I highly recommend this one to anyone, just a great show to watch!
Here’s a quick review of some of the other movies I saw over the weekend:
- Mama Mia: LAME
- Eagle Eye: pretty good, but nothing really surprising
- The Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor: ok, but just a one timer.
Anyway, that’s what I did for part of this weekend. How about you?

This weekend my wife and I finally got to see the Disney/Pixar movie WALL-E. Honestly, I loved it! This is one of the few movies in a long time that after seeing it I really just wanted to own it.
So what is it about this movie that’s so great? It’s just a cute cute show! Seriously, they did a really great job on this one. It’s really cute, it’s just a clever as anything else that Pixar has done, and will have you laughing.
The other great thing about it is that the dialogue is simple enough that kids can follow it and basically get what’s going on.
Seriously, if you haven’t seen this movie I highly highly recommend it. As far as Pixar movies, it definitely falls into the top 3. I can’t decide yet if I like it better than The Incredibles, but it’s pretty darn close!

So last night my wife and I finally saw Incredible Hulk (Widescreen Edition)
. I’ll say this, it was definitely better than the other Hulk movie that came out a few years ago. That one was lame.
This one was definitely better. The storyline was better, the action was better, but I’m not sure that the acting was much better. I mean, Edward Norton is a great actor, but it seemed like this part was kinda flat. Granted, he was probably told to play it that way, but I felt the character of Bruce Banner was a little weak in this one.
That and I thought Liv Tyler was kinda whiney throughout the whole thing.
I still liked it, but there are a few things that could have been much, much better.

So last night my wife and I rented August Rush. I had heard a lot of really good things about it, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This was a really good show!
Lately whenever I’ve seen Robin Williams in a movie I’ve found him kind of annoying, but in this movie I thought he actuallly did a really good job! And the kid that plays the main role is always really good (you may remember him from the new Willy Wonka andFinding Neverland). He’s growing well, so hopefully he won’t be one of these kids that once they get older can’t get a movie.
Anyway, great movie with a lot of really cool music. Seriously, you could watch this movie just for the music and really like it. Especially all the guitar slapping they do!

Last night my wife and I rented and watched Vantage Point for the first time.
That was one intense movie! I had heard a lot of really good things about it, and I really wasn’t disappointed at all. At first when they started going back I was thinking, “oh no…the same thing again just from a different angle is all.” But i was way off. It was really cool how every person not only had a unique viewpoint, but also a unique role to play in the whole story.
Overall I would have to say I really really really liked this movie. It might even be good enough to go onto my current favorites list. So if you haven’t seen this one, I’d recommend you do!
