Some Really Good Salsa!

11:57 am Food

I’m a big fan of chips and salsa, or really just about anything with salsa.  What do you expect, my favorite food is nachos after all!

But I also like trying different kinds of salsa.  In fact, there is this Mexican restaurant up in Salt Lake City that has a salsa bar with like 8-10 different types of salsa, all of them good!

Anyway, the other day at the grocery store we decided to buy some salsa, and I ended up getting a mango & peach salsa.  I was a little hesitant at first cause I don’t really like mangoes, and peach salsa sounded kinda weird.  In fact, I was swayed by my wife to get it because she loves both of those fruits and so I was hoping she would try some.

Well, what can I say, that is one good salsa!

I’ve also had raspberry salsa before, and that was really good, too.  There’s something about fruit in salsas that just makes them good!

Yes! Salsa and Low-fat tortilla chips. Plus, my wife made a low-fat version of cheese dip. Very good.

i think that you love anything to do with chips, no anything to do with salsa…and whats wrong with eating Beto’s nachos at 4 am? sounds good to me!

    Dan Reply:

Probably depends on the day, but usually I would say that 4am is a little early for nachos. Has anyone come up with breakfast nachos yet???

That photo you have there… I didn’t think that was Salsa. I thought that was vinagrete. But either way, I love both Vinagrete and Salsa :)

hhhmmm..I am kind of odd when it comes to things like this. I like my sweet food sweet and salty food salty..so I believe I would not like mango and peach salsa. However, I highly recommend this dip, it is amazing. You grab a plate (not paper) a sturdy plate, and you spread cream cheese all on the bottom. You can make it as thick or as thin as you want. You are supposed to use sweet salsa so your mango and peach might work, I prefer regular salsa. You just pour it on top of the cream cheese. You have a quick and easy party dip that is different then regular salsa! Enjoy!

My favorite kind of salsa is the southwest salsa, with black beans and corn. To be honest, Im not a big fan of the fruit salsa. I think its all in mind head, but when Im eating salsa, I expect it to be spicy, and when its sweet, I freak out. Kinda like drinking orange juice when you think you’re drinking water.

Yeah, I can see where you’re coming from. I honestly thought that as well at first, but then after trying a few fruit salsas I started to like them. Southwest salsa is really good too!

Raspberry salsa always does it for me! But my favorite would be my grandma’s own salsa concoction.

I love salsa. I had made some homemade salsa with all of the ingredients out of my garden this past summer. It was slammin! I have tried pineapple mango salsa that was excellent also! Yum.

I read this article a couple months ago and at the time I thought this salsa sounded good. However it slipped my mind and I didn’t think about it again….. until last weekend when I was at target and I saw peach mango salsa. I instantly purchased it after remembering your recommendation and boy was I glad. This stuff is excellent, thanks for the tip!

These comments really includes ome good salsas! Personally I agree that salsas with fruit are the best ones, sweet and strong at the same time and they can be varied infinitely. Recently I tried salsa with melon, I recommend that!
