Remembering a Trip to Orlando
June 30, 2008 12:22 pm Random ObservationsNow that I’m on the topic of vacations, one really cool vacation that I had as a kid was when we went as a family to Orlando. Naturally, the main attraction that we went to was Disney World (at least, that’s all I remember
).
There’s something about going to a Disney Resort as a kid, it just really seems to stick with you. Some of the things I remember was getting a crazy hat that looked like a dragon (his name was Figment for those of you that have been there), going through the “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” area, and ditching the light parade to go ride Thunder Mountain over and over and over again. By the way, that’s the best time to do those rides because everyone else is watching the silly parade!
So if you haven’t been to Orlando, you should go. Maybe even check out Trusted Tours & Attractions, they can show you all the different things to do in Orlando. They also have a great newsletter and online travel guides. I don’t know if they have a Madame Tussauds, but those are pretty cool too if you’ve never been to one!
Anyway, summer is a great time for spending time with family and going on vacations. Even if you have to keep the distances shorter because of gas prices, there’s nothing like getting out with the family and having a little vacation.

I went to Disney World not too long ago and I absolutely loved it. I hope you have fun on your trip!

DISNEY WORLD IS THE SOURCE OF ATTRACTION FOR KIDS….

Orlando and especially Disneyworld is one place that I would love to go to. I live in California and been to Disneyland so many times. It would be nice to check out a park that’s bigger then San Francisco. Thanks for sharing.

I still have fond memories of the “Honey I shrunk the kids” area.
I’m wondering how affordable those “affordable” disney vacations really are, as I’d love to go back someday.

Disneyworld is really fun, but another cool thing to do thats close to orlando is to visit the space center. Kinda nerdy, but is pretty cool.

Funny how Disney and Orlando have changed. Like you, these were both very magical vacations in my youth. Unfortunately now these venues have changed considerably imho, losing much of the magic that was there (or have we lost the magic?)

I’m back again from yet another out of town trip. This time I had to travel to Orlando. I hate leaving Landon but I really need the time away and I enjoy seeing my friends and fellow Crime Stoppers. And each time I come home and get Landon it does my heart good to see how happy he is to see me and that he missed me!
