Online Trading With TradeMONSTER
May 9, 2009 11:45 am Just Random!I’ll admit, I’ve always been at least a little curious about investing in the stock market and have always wanted to learn more about. I actually hope to get involved in the not too distant future. We’ll see how that goes. 
One of the great things about trading stocks online is that most of the systems that are out there have a way for you to trade for free, or have some kind of a trial account so you don’t actually have to spend any money and can just play around with it.
TradeMONSTER is this way as well. They have a learning system where you can do practice trades just to see how you do without spending any actual money. I’ve always been someone that learns best by doing, so i think this would be the best way for me to do it!
The other great thing about TradeMONSTER is that the interface of it is completely customizable. I always hate it when I have to adjust myself to the format of a program or interface. It’s so much nicer when you can customize the platform to what you want to see. That’s the way TradeMONSTER works!
They’re also a lot cheaper than most of the other services out there. TradeMONSTER has a pricing page that compares their trading prices with some of the other major sites such as E*TRADE, TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, and others. Another thing that impressed me is that they were honest enough to show another system’s prices taht are actually cheaper than what they offer. To me this shows that they have integrity, which is always good to see these days. They aren’t afraid that they aren’t the cheapest, so they have to make it up in quality.
TradeMONSTER was started by some guys that you may have seen if you ever watch FastMoney on CNBC - Pete and Jon Najarian (along with Dirk Mueller). So hey, they even have some well known guys behind it!
All in all, I’m impressed with what I’ve seen so far with TradeMONSTER. So if you’re like me and want to get into trading, check them out!

It is a great time because everything is cheap right now. That’s why people who actually have money do so well in times of recession because they can get so much for a very low price, then resell later when the market recovers.

I did some online “investing” a few years back with penny stocks. I figure I could just sell them quickly once It goes up a little bit. It didn’t work like that, I got greedy and held on. In the end I lost money. I’ll try online trading again one day once I have some money to spare.

I think right now is a pretty good time to invest, because the market seems not to be receding like it did over the past several months. My portfolio is actually worth something again, and while I use Scottrade I think the tradeMonster practice system you’ve described sounds interesting and useful for newbie investors. Used to use E*Trade but their commissions are ridiculously high.

Software’s only good for so much of the work, and then it’s still up to you to make the wise trading decisions. Computers don’t tell the future or else we’d all be wealthy. I’ve seen a lot of trading “miracles” and don’t buy into all the general hype so far.

TradeMonster is Java based instead of resident software. I prefer resident software. The pricing is OK… Sorry I can’t be more specific with them. I did research them… I don’t remember the “facts” but it was not enough for me to explore them further.
