One Thing I Love About the Internet - A Story About Saab Parts
January 23, 2009 9:55 am Just Random! You know what I love about the internet? You can always find a site that specializes in exactly what you need. Well, maybe not always but most of the time right
.
So here’s a great example: a friend of mine has a Saab. He really likes this car, but I’m not sure if he has an easy time finding parts for it when he needs to. So just the other day I learned about this site called SwedishParts.net which carries all sorts of Saab parts. So now, if he ever has a problem and needs to get a part, he’s good to go! If you have a Saab or Volvo, you’ll want to check these guys out as well!
Anyway, just a short random thought for you today about one reason why I love the internet!

The interenet has proved to be better than any encyclopedia ever published or any other tool where information is at hand.
If I need to know anything in the backyard of my street I really dont need to go and tom tom with my question with everyone. believe it or not the internet is the right place for all that.
Sure you are on the dot

I can’t imagine life without internet. It’s a big source of information. It also helps you be connected to your love ones even though they are far from you. Good for your friend BTW.

Brilliant! I totally agree with you too; there’s just some sites on amazing specialist subjects online! The crazy thing is they seem to be mini search engines popping up all over the place for these specialist subjects aswell!
[Reply]
Totally agree. Not just going by the Saab example but in general as well. Internet has made Yellow pages and other directory books meaningless. I watch a lot less TV, due to the internet. I don’t need to go to the library to read up on anything, due to the internet. Now its come to a stage where “I don’t know what I will do without internet”.

I lived in South Africa for almost 28 years, where the Internet has always been disappointing as an ecommerce outlet.
I moved back to the UK in December, and I’m absolutely blown away by the availability of things online. You really can buy anything online here.
So as far as 1st world countries go, the Internet ROCKS! But for all you people in developing countries, you’ll have to wait a while longer before you’re truly impressed.
[Reply]
‘Saab’ name is coming from an Swedish airplane name. I know that are many sites which are worth to look at and navigate through them, and much much other are scam and made for adsense.
[Reply]
I agree with finding whatever you need online and with parts. I know someone who collects maverick cars and strips them to sell the parts online to maverick enthusiasts all over the world. He knows next to nothing about the internet but yet he has a thriving online business.
[Reply]
Yep, that’s really good, but even better is, that you can earn thousand of dollars online, with your blog, forum, or just a few good links in google
I love internet

These are exciting times! Everything is becoming internet / technology based like newspapers. The internet adds more convenience while reducing paper waste. Just one example.
[Reply]
I agree about how convenient it is to find just about anything now. Most times, everything is great with that. HOWEVER, the one big concern I have is that there are some people who believe that once a word makes it into written form (as on a blog or web page), it is gospel truth. You’ve got to remember that just about anyone can post anything now, so you should probably always be sure to double or triple check on any “facts” before using that info for anything too important.
[Reply]
i LOVE THE SPECIFICITY OF THE NET. yOU CAN FIND REALLY GOOD MICROSITES THAT FOCUS ON EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT.
[Reply]
Tell me about it!! I live in a very small town and it saves me a fortune in gas money as well as time to find things I need online.
[Reply]
This is golden time for internet lovers because every thing is becoming online..You can earn more….
[Reply]
Is Saab part of GM?
[Reply]
Ador:
Sabb Autos are a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors. It was originally founded by Saab AB the aerospace company though.
[Reply]
I don’t know how we ever got by before the internet. Can you imagine picking up a phone and trying to call around for something like parts. The internet is such a time saver.
[Reply]
Internet has all the information what you want and the main advantage i think one can earn online, time saver too.
[Reply]
I totally agree with you. Internet right now is the best to seek some information what you need. You can also communicate to other people using the net and you gain friends using the internet.
[Reply]
Totally agree. Not just going by the Saab example but in general as well.
[Reply]
and face time with the Internet is impacting on one way or another in the life of everyone, has easy because in many areas or walking alone that would be very complicated, and I think that the Internet promises much yet because we are beings of 100% that human manuzeiam it correctly, therefore finding it useless
[Reply]
I love the internet too, I mean think about it, where would we be without the internet? The internet has made things so much easier and faster for us!
[Reply]
I agree with you totally. The internet is amazing to find anything. I use it alot for research medical conditions. It allows me to ask the doctors the itelligent questions. It has also been great for this past christmas. There is no better way to shop then online.
bookkeeping services.
[Reply]
Yeah absolutely right! If you go deeper and deeper in the world of cyberspace you have to get back and back everyday because everyday many news and events are being plug in there!
[Reply]
You know, this concept of the ‘long tail’ is just seeping through everything on the net. If you have interests that people in the place in which you happen to live don’t share, it no longer has to be a source of isolation. And the Saab story (pardon the pun) is a perfect example of how the net saves us money too– in the ‘old days’ how much more would your friend have had to spend to find/buy the parts he needed?
[Reply]
Love the play on words. Too bad I can’t find a volvo site like that….damn volvo!
[Reply]
That’s the longtail for you - I just wish these obscure sites didn’t suffer from lack of link popularity. Many interesting sites get ignored because they’re not on the first page of Google.
[Reply]
Couldn’t agree more, I’m always amazed at how many things I’ve never even heard of that are readily available online. Plus they are usually cheaper than offline.
[Reply]
You are right on the ball. Marketers call all those specialty areas niches. I am worried that it is getting to easy for the likes of Amazon and Wal-Mart to get into all these different niches through the web. I like finding these small sites made by real people, not corporations.
[Reply]
Yup!! I love the internet too, Internet right now is the best to seek some information what you need. You can also communicate to other people using the internet. I’m happy now
[Reply]
The internet keeps surprising me each and every day. I wonder if anybody ever attempted to draw a map of it.
Then again, that person certainly must’ve gone insane before he could post it on.. yeah.. the internet!
[Reply]
But SAAB is not the car I want to have in my garage these days, unless someone are willing buy & bring this national treasure back to Sweden.
[Reply]
Whew I love that story..Is it really about the Internet story.. thanks
[Reply]
Honestly, our life is full with unexpected events, especially the online world, where there are many bizarre things can be happened…
[Reply]
This article was a nice read. I personally like reading articles about online world. It’s obviously has taken the world to the next level.
[Reply]
It is true that the internet has definitely made finding things that used to be hard to get much easier. But, that is a double edge sword. It is great for the seeker, but bad for the seller because what was once hard to find and could sell at a premium now sells for a much lower amount.
[Reply]
The internet certainly has made finding those hard to find things much easier.
[Reply]
Internet is a breakthrough in technology.
[Reply]
I visited swedishparts.net and i found it great source for Saab parts. Thank a lot for sharing this one.
[Reply]
Lots of posts about car parts on this blog.

Internet is the source of information nowadays. On almost everything we need to search and buy, the internet is there to provide us valuable information.
Lets use the net responsively.
[Reply]
