My Little Sister Had a Baby!

My only sister, my little sister, just had a baby yesterday! And for her size he was a big one. She’s about 5′3″ and the baby weighed just over 8lbs. So big she had to have a C-section for it.
It’s exciting! This makes the 3rd baby in our family this year including my own baby boy. And all have been healthy and are doing well. It’s just weird to me that my ‘little sister’ is now a mom, but I’m sure I’ll get over it soon enough 
.
Well, I’m actually off to the hospital to see the little kid for the first time!

Congrats on becoming an Aunt, and it sounds like your baby and hers will make great playmates. I never grew up around my cousins, but I wish I had, as I feel absolute enmity towards my siblings — even to this day.
Unfortunately, as adults, I find myself with almost no commonalities with my cousins. The great friendships that could have been, are no longer possible.
I guess the main issue is that a lot of my cousins are locked up. They certainly didn’t receive the upbringing that was afforded to my brothers and I. And to think, I once viewed their epicurean lifestyles as tantamount to perennial bliss.

Congrats (on becoming an uncle and a dad this year)! I can’t think of anything better to blog about than the birth of a baby… it’s truly the best news you could share. I had a baby this year and it’s turned my world upside down and I’ve loved every minute of it.
