Movie Review: Transporter 3
April 5, 2009 6:41 am Movies, TV and MusicOk, so lately it seems like I’ve been seeing a lot of movies that have to be classified in the dumb category. And Transporter 3 is one of them.
Now I have to admit that I really wasn’t expecting much when I rented this one. I’ve seen the other two Transporter films and honestly they weren’t that great. So was I expecting much from #3; hardly.
But seriously, the whole story of this one, the characters, and the lame excuses for an overly choreographed fight scene were just too much. My wife said it perfectly when she said it was good because it was dumb. In other words, they did a good job making it dumb and you just came to expect it!
Now I’m sure that some of you probably liked it. I’m glad someone did! But for those of you that haven’t seen it yet, I won’t say don’t see it. It’s silly fun if you’re up for it, but don’t expect a great movie. If you liked the other 2 films, this one fits in with them.
Anyway, that’s my review!

Transporter 3 is not a bad movie actually, not exceptional, but watchable.

I liked the first Transporter movie.. From there on, it was pretty much downhill, but the second was okay - just a plain action movie..
The third however, was a huuge disappointment! The concept is used, get over it or figure out away of keeping the original feeling of the movie - instead of just turning the plot into crap.
And why do they have to take a ugly girl that cant speak english? Didnt they have budget to hire a better actress - or did they just want to make it crap?
All in all - really agree with you that the movie is crap.. Thanks for letting me out some air about the movie, hehe..

ason Statham is slipping a lot……… Death Race… That thing with Ron Perlman…[Dungeon something] Transporter 2 was a little bit much with the car & the crane. The Bank Job was okay, [The Trinidadians all sounded Jamaican], Crank was a bit rediculous I thought [Though everyone seems to love it].
& I know that Statham has done great movies, Transporter, Cellular [fun not great, but still], War, The One, Lock Stock, etc etc. But why is he picking up these crappy movies?
Especially that Dungeon Siege crap, that was offensive to be honest. I mean I expect Ron Perlman to do that kind of thing. But not Statham!

I am finding that Stathom is repeating the same kind of roles again and again and it gets a bit boring in the end. He is reasonable good actor and He needs to diversify. I still like his role in Snatch as Turkish as one of the best even though small.

I agree; this movie wasn’t the greatest of all action movies. The first Transporter was amazing, I actually watched it twice which is rare for me to do with any movie.

Transporter 3 was just like every other Jason Statham movie - non-stop mindless action. I enjoyed it. Though Freckle-face was annoying, this movie would be so much better without her.

I haven’t watch this movie yet. Maybe soon i guess. This movie just doesn’t have that ‘watch me now’ kind of aura. Seems like it just have an average rating.

Wasn’t a bad movie, entertaining enough. I hesitated to rent it for awhile after it was out because the first two transporter movies were pretty dumb. Don’t get me wrong this one is dumb too, almost seems like a ballet during the staged fight scenes, but it entertains so that is a good thing. Check it out if your bored.

I actually like the transporter series. I may be biased because I like Jason Statham but the transporter is his first movie that I watched and I have been a big fan since then. Although the the Transporter 3 wasn’t that good as the first and second, it was still worth watching.

Let’s face it any one who watches Jason Statham movies isn’t really looking for good acting and a kick butt story line. They watch it for the same reasons you watch a jet li movie or stallone movie, and that reason is because they have great action sences.

I was never really able to get into the Transporter series. I guess, though, there is a market out there because they seem to keep making them. Must be profitable.

I haven’t seen all of the movies in this series yet. But, I do like the lead actor in these movies. He has an edginess to him without being a pretty boy.

It sounds like the kind of film that you have to be in a certain mood to watch. For example, if you’re in a “no non-sense” mood, stupid movies are not a good idea. The same applies to reading about myths, legends, and folklore. Sometimes, we just want the facts without all the hogwash, for yet another example. Actually, come to think of it, I haven’t seen any of the Transporter flicks. I may have to check it out…
