Is Debt Getting Out of Control?
March 20, 2008 5:35 am Random ObservationsLately it seems like I hear all of the time how much debt people are in… and it’s really not a good thing. I don’t know if it is just uncontrolled spending or people just don’t know how to manage their finances. Maybe it’s a combination of the two.
Last year (or maybe it was the year before) my wife and I decided that we were going to really work towards getting out of debt. We’ve made some bad decisions in the past that had all gone on credit cards and we’ve taken steps to where we no longer have any credit card debt! The only debts we currently have is our mortgage, car loan, and student loans. Now its just a matter of paying those down, too.
Another problem that we’re hearing about all of the time these days is the housing industry and how a good number of people are loosing their homes because they can’t afford the adjusted rates. I really think its time that we all do what we need to do to get out of debt. Take the steps you need to so you can live a better life without debt.

Yes, I often sigh when it snows after Spring (technically)begins. But, though you say the word Springtime and it conjures up images of pleasant breezes and wispy clouds, the weather doesn’t have anything to do with when they determine Spring. Just a tidbit about this-it all has to do with the sun. Approximately March 20th each year is the Vernal Equinox. That just means that it is the point in the Earth’s rotation when we can see the exact middle of the sun precisely over the middle of the Earth-the Equator. So while we perhaps dream of lilacs and robins,little baby lambs and chocolate bunnies, Spring is a calendar/Sun/rotation thing.

Yeah Debt sucks! I used to have a ton of debt before I started to make money online, you should know about that since you have a blog but god debt sucks.

Yea, debt is not a good thing and it’s definitely out of control. Part of the reason why our economy is facing a recession. Personal finance and money management skills need to be a focus in our society!

Yeah, During this recession time many people are suffering from debt. And it is out of control also. I think debt consolidation is a better idea.

Hell yeah! Debt is definitely getting out of control. Just look at how much trouble the banks are having with people who can’t make payments on their loans and, better yet, look at the United States debt!
