I Need a New Cell Phone

7:30 am Just Random!

My cell phone is having major problems.  It’s really random, but it just shuts off whenever it feels like it.  As you can imagine this makes it hard to receive calls sometimes because I won’t even know it’s shut off and may have missed a few calls.  Not cool.  Case in point, I just pulled it out of my pocket and it decided to turn off again!  Grrrrr….

So it’s time for a new phone.  My wife and I have been looking at a couple of different options, comparing plans etc.  I’m not overly satisfied with the free TMobile phones that I’ve gotten from them, in fact that’s what I have right now and it’s having problems. Other than that though, TMobile has been pretty good to work with as a cell phone company.

But I’m thinking that we’re going to switch providers in a few months once our contract expires.  We’ve been looking at a few AT&T cell phones and they look pretty good. There are also some really good
Sprint phones as well.

Honestly, it’s getting hard to choose. I’m cheap and so I’m really looking for the free phones and how good they are. There are some pretty good looking free Verizon phones as well, but I think their service is out of my price range.

Honestly, in the end I think we’re going to go with AT&T after checking out the free free ATT cell phones on sites like BestInCellPhones.com. Seriously, great site if you’re looking to find the best cell phone deals. They carry all the main brands and providers and can help you find what you’re looking for.

So I’m curious - what provider do you use or wish you used? I’m open to advice on this subject!

I concur with Gary….the iphone is hands down the best phone, but not a good choice if you’re on a budget, because you’ve got the mandatory $30 per line data package…but if that’s within your budget…do it.

I would buy an apple iphone online! I have had mine for a year and I would have literally paid $1000 for it. It’s bad though how the government doesn’t regulate cell phone companies enough, the prices should be cheaper.

Before you actually leave T-Mobile, you should give them a call and tell them that you are actually thinking of leaving them. Just to keep you on as a customer they will start flooding you with different offers and deals. They might even offer you a phone for FREE and even cut the price of your monthly bill. It works, give it a try.

I’ve had Verizon for the last 4+ years and it’s been great for getting a signal when my friends with AT&T or T-Mobile can’t. Granted, the phones aren’t as cool (iPhone). I got the Blackberry storm when it first came out and got rid of it 2 weeks later in exchange for the Curve. The Storm was way too slow. Anyway, happy cell phone shopping!
