I Miss Chinese Food

For today’s random thought, I just want to share that I haven’t eaten Chinese food in probably about a month. And I’m starting to miss it…
Come to think of it, I haven’t had my absolute favorite food in a while either - nachos! But today I’ll talk about Chinese food.
One of the nice things about Chinese food is that it almost always tastes the same no matter where you go. I mean seriously, have you ever had a cashew chicken for example that really tasted different than another place? I think they all get the food from the same place, then throw it in a pot.
Now, this doesn’t count some of the more ‘gourmet’ places like PF Changs and stuff like that. I mean just your run of the mill, order it to go Chinese food. In fact, it seems like you’d really have to screw it up to get a bad Chinese dish. And those restaurants should go out of business cause they can’t get it right.
Maybe I just need to learn how to cook some for myself. That could be fun!

I love going out for some great Chinese every so often. It is so healthy and so delicious! Sometimes I will even make my own at home, though it’s not as good as ordering it from our favorite restaurant

I also tried to cook Chinese food at home. But, it was not the same as restaurants. I don’t give up. I look for some tips about Chinese food on net.I think, I will succeed.

I’m currently on a diet, and I also haven’t eaten Chinese food for a while. Your post is making me feel really hungry and, to make matters worse, you mentioned nachos too!

Actually, I guess it depends on the place. I’ve had my fair share of bad Chinese food.

I also enjoy Chinese food very much! The buffets are usually really cheap, considering the amount of food you can cram into the “to-go” containers. This type of food is, of course, really healthy as well as great tasting.
As far as cooking it at home: Well, I’ve come pretty close to replicating the high-quality Chinese cuisines, through trial & error. One must really learn to use just the right amount of soy sauce, steam, oil, etc.
BUT, I usually save myself the trouble and order out, as often as possible. Ha-ha!

Great article. I have not eaten chinese food lately either. The ironic thing is I write recipes for it. It can be made healthy but it does take a lot away from the test. I guess we just have to give certain things up though.

In China, we ate chinese food everyday. We were so happy to see American food. We thought we may never want chinese again. My favorite American food is a muffaletta with olive salad.

Mocking and Jeering: In America, we ate American food everyday. We were so happy to see Chinese food. We thought we may never want American again. My favorite Chinese food is Teriyaki Cat on a stick with Asian Style Hot Wings along with steamed spicy vegetables cooked in a Wok. Ha! I’m hungry now…
