Heading Out of Town for the Weekend!

I haven’t been out of town in a long long time, so I’m actually excited to get out…even though we’re just going to Idaho.
You see, growing up most of my relatives lived in Idaho and I never really enjoyed going up there to visit. For that very reason my mom always called us ‘antisocial’ when it game to family gatherings. And in a way I guess we were!
But at this point it’s sounding great, just for the fact that it’s out of town! The last time I went out of town was to Vegas, but that was sometime last year. And honestly, I’m not a big fan of Vegas. It’s ok and all, but I don’t gamble and all that so it’s kind of a pointless destination for me.
Anyway, I’m leaving to go out of town. I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Im stuck at home with my parents cause I don’t have enough money yet to have my own car (even though im in my 20’s), but im getting there hopefully soon.

I understand the appeal of “just getting out of town”. In mid March my 5 year old twins kept asking me if we could see snow. We live in Atlanta and hadn’t seen any all winter. So looked at weather.com to see where the nearest blizzard was, hoped in the car and drove from Atlanta to Detroit! Not your typical vacation but we got we were looking for (and then some).

Got my priorities re-set to what’s important over the weekend. I went camping just me and my daughter! I’ve been working so much on the launch of my new life insurance settlement website I have really neglected simple stuff like just putting my kids to bed at night.
There is always going to be an emergency and a reason you HAVE to work. Trust me taking a day or two to be with your kids will be the best decision you will ever make.
