For All The Art Lovers

3:34 pm Just Random!

Mona LisaMy wife is an artist. I am not. In fact, I have been made fun of repeatedly in the past because about the only thing I can draw is a circle, and even then it comes out like an oval. Sad I know. But back to what I started with, my wife is an artist, so I came across a site today that I thought was fitting for her and any of you other art lovers out there. Yes, this is random!

Being that I am not an artist I must say that I really respect people who can paint and draw and make it look effortless. Well, the site that I’m showing you today, Oil Paintings Reproductions, has combined the skilled artists of today with the great artwork of the past.

Basically what these guys do oil reproductions. In other words, you tell them the painting that you want and they reproduce it in oil. Not a print or poster, but an actual reproduction! Personally I thought that was pretty cool!

Anyway, this kind of thing would make a great gift for the art lover out there because it looks more authentic. But you will be able to do it without spending thousands or millions on an original.  So check it out!

Also - I have a wife who is an artist - also - I can hardly draw a circle either. This must be common amongst couples whos wives have had gall bladder surgery.

    For all the art lovers…

Yeah, art is a big thing for a lot of us. Art is not just limited to basic paintings and drawings, either. Literary art, graphic design, cartoons, abstract art, etc., are all forms. Some people even look at writing as an art, whether it is poetry or just fluent wording and whatnot.
But personally, when I hear the word “art,” I think of paintings, drawings, and so on. I enjoy that type of art, especially when dealing with landscapes and animals, however, I don’t have much experience with oil painting, just acrylic paints and basic lead & charcoal drawings. Cheers! :P
