Excited for Terminator Salvation!
May 22, 2009 5:37 pm Movies, TV and MusicI’ve been excited for this movie to come out for a while now, and something happened the other day that made me even more excited for it: I found out that it’s PG-13!
As a rule, I generally don’t bother seeing R rated movies. They’re usually just a little too over the top whether it be in language, violence, sex, and other things. So when I learned that Terminator Salvation was PG-13 it made me think that they’ll actually be able to focus more on the story rather than just the blood and guts!
This is looking to be a great year for movies so far. Between Star Trek, Terminator, and Transformers there will be plenty to see!

I am pretty excited about this movie as well. I have been following the TV show, Sarah Conner Chronicles and was wondering if this movie is going to tie in with the shows story line at all. Either way it looks great.

You will be lost on a lot of what’s going on, but it’s still watchable. Many references will be lost on you, and the main storyline is very related to the earlier movies,

I’ve still yet to see this movie, although from what I’ve read and from what I’ve heard, there are those who love it, and those who hate it.
I’m sure when I do see it I’ll be subconsciously comparing it to T2, which is one of my favorite movies ever =)
Still, it’s nice that we get to focus more on the future war whereas we’ve only seen glimpses up until now, unlike T3, which was a good action flick, but I couldn’t get over the fact it contradicts the other previous two, and felt like Terminator 2 and a half.

I think that it’s important to have a story line in a movie such as this, but sometimes it’s the blood and guts that really makes the movie!! Especially one called Terminator!!

I’ve watched this movie and it was great! At the theater I saw lots of those teens who were so excited at the movie and they were talking about those fight scenes they saw on the trailer. There were also adults who were able to watch the previous terminators and is actually interested on how it will look like and to compare which one is the better.

I was actually very surprised by Salvation. I actually liked it, I LOVED the CGI Arnold straight out of the 80’s.

There wasn’t a CGI Arnold in Salvation, it was Roland Kickenger who is an ex pro bodybuilder come actor, who has been in ‘Son of a beach’. He was just made up to look like Arnold (hair etc.) His physique is nowhere near as impressive as Arnold’s was.

Honestly I was very excited about this movie, but it kinda flopped in my opinion.. I don’t really blame the writers or the cast but rather the cutting room, Some parts of the movie just kinda didn’t come out right like when he has the robot human at gun point in the swamp, first he’s talking to him normal then all of a sudden he takes an aggressive tone for absolutely no apparent reason..

Terminator Salvation dosn’t measure up to Watchmen or Star Trek, but it is a solid action movie. We live these super busy lives where we don’t take a whole lot of time to stop and just rest and enjoy something, and I think that Terminator Salvation, ironically enough, gives us something to enjoy as a fun experience.
