Be Careful During Boating Season
July 9, 2008 6:25 am Just Random!Growing up we would always go on a family vacation down to Lake Powell, Utah. If you’ve never been there, you really should go sometime in your life. And one thing we always knew is that our dad was very serious about boat safety to make sure that we had a good trip.
Drunk boating is a serious problem in some areas, along with other problems. So before you go boating, make sure that you get some boating education online so that you know what you’re doing. Just because you’re on water doesn’t mean it’s safe to drive drunk.

Very true! Boating is travel and leisure and being careful is important. Many people like to travel and use travel agents. Always good to check the rules, just in case.

Boating is a real source of leisure and entertainment. But one has to be serious about boat safety as well.

Good call. It’s like driving a car, you need to know what you’re doing!

Excellent post. There are so many accidents/deaths on the water now a days. Adding alcohol to someone driving a boat is an accident waiting to happen.

I’ve never been to Lake Powell, Utah, but it sounds nice. Yeah, I hope everyone is careful during boating season. I’ve heard about many boating accidents down through the years, and not all of them were related to drunk driving, either.
…People getting snakes in the boat, struck by lightning, fall in the water with no life jacket, getting chopped in half while standing up in the boat and running under a passageway at night, risky water stunts, etc.
At least with freshwater boating, you don’t have to worry about sharks! Anyway, if you feeling like getting wasted and/or drunk, try to do it at home where only the people you live with will get to witness your stupidity and will be there to comfort your fall. Ha!
