Well, I came across another site that has great prices and a great selection of car parts to choose from. The site is BuyAutoParts.com. Not only do they have a great selection of products from all of the major manufacturers, but you can also get free shipping on all orders over $50! Not bad if you me.

I usually find the nearest junk yard to find the part I’m looking for. I find it to be the cheapest way but it can be hard to get the exact part.

AHH I remember my first car at 16. I had to constantly put new parts in it. It made me think that it would almost be cheaper to just buy a decent car in the first place. But hey, it helps you learn about cars and fixing them up. Thats the real lesson!

Just using a simple query like “Used car parts” or equipment can work. On the other end of it, in this economy it is always helpful to sell parts you have for cash. There are a lot of online sites that offer to buy parts.

Car parts are a nightmare to locate. What year is your car, the model (the SPECIFIC model which isn’t always obvious) etc. Especially if you’ve got a fairly old car, then parts can be hard to find.

Hmm I just did a search on my car model - Hyundai Sonata 2006. They have the parts but their price is not that cheap. Don’t think the saving is enough to cover the cost of shipping.

I’ve never bought car parts from an online store. I’m a little surprised if they offer free shipping on large dollar orders. Usually expensive car parts are pretty heavy, in my former experience as an auto parts store employee.

There are so many places with good car parts that sometimes You can be confused. There are also many bad places that You need to avoid. I have problem with that. Every time I check myself some new place it occurs that thieves are working there. If someone lets me know of a place that he knows - it’s almost always great. Thanks for the info. If you walk into the local stores here, parts cost an arm and a leg. Needed a motor for my sons toy car actually, and had to get it at Napa, 2x price as amazon. I’ll check it out!

I will keep them in mind when shopping around. I threw in a aftermarket Window Regulator with Motor last year (from a different company) and I guess you get what you pay for because the thing died a few months after that. Zero warranty. Hopefully this site can get their pop up windows to work because I am curious as to their Warranty policy and sale info. I will no doubt keep them in mind, thanks.

Finding parts in a junk yard is not the issue, as much as being able to spend the time to remove the part from the junked wreck. Been stung enough times to know caution is the word of the day

It’s great to have choices. We all know how the number of stores has been going down and down in the past years with all of the mergers and large stores taking over. The Net allows us to find new outlets and is a great way to give small businesses a chance with the big guys. It’s great!
