A Couple of Good New Songs

5:39 am Movies, TV and Music

So for the last couple of years I’ve honestly been disappointed with a lot of the new music that’s been coming out.  It seems like there just wasn’t a lot of good stuff coming out for quite some time.  Mostly just a bunch of guys that couldn’t sing.

But the last couple of months I’ve been seeing some better stuff come out.  And it’s refreshing!  So here are a couple that I’m really enjoying lately:

Thriving Ivory - Angels on the Moon

One of the local radio stations started really promoting these guys a few months ago.  At first I didn’t really know what to think of their unique voice, but it grew on me.  Sorta reminded me of the uniqueness of Our Lady Peace back in the day.  Anyway, I actually bought this album and it’s one of the best I’ve bought in a long time.  Lot’s of good songs on the CD, but Angels on the Moon is definitely one of the best.

The Airborne Toxic Event - Sometime Around Midnight

As far as I know this one is pretty new, but it has quickly grown on me.  Just a good song!  I don’t know anything about the rest of the album, but I’m really liking this song.

Kings of Leon - Use Somebody

Another one that I can’t say much about the whole album, but this song has also really grown on me.  The guy has a good voice and I just overall like this song a lot.

It’s been refreshing to hear some good new music coming out.  Any other suggestions?

I love music actually,, and I’m wonder if someone could not understand why they still sing even they are not in good in singing…

But still is they have freedom to express their self. Just enjoy of what you are doing…

I like Thriving Ivory - I think uniqueness is what makes musicians have staying power in the industry. You have to have your own sound.

I love Kings of Leon! That song is so beautiful and my fiance played it for me before it even became popular. I don’t mind hearing that one anytime I turn on the radio! Great reviews!

I agree, a lot of today’s music sucks and doesn’t compare to the legends of yesterday… Hell, I’ve seen drunks at a bar that could sing better than some of the clowns that get record deals now…

The big eyes thing was pretty freaky, and I always find it annoying when they have animals making non-human sounds.

You do get pretty obvious hints here and there though. So he has been doing all sorts of nice things for people, but you can also tell that he hates himself and is suicidal

Back when Kings of Leon were good! I think the latest album, Come Around Sundown, was a huge letdown. Hate to say they sold out but they sound more and more like Nickelback to me.

first in my fave list is Can’t take that away by MC. This song is very inspiring and gives motivation to those people who are feeling down. Plus, the arrangement and the melodies are so mellow and pleasant to the ears. Second, will be Ugly by Sugarbabes. Like the first song, this is also very motivating, reminding us that no one was created ugly. Beauty is a relevant word, the only person who can justify it is the one who is seeing the beauty. Lastly, Someone like you by Adele. This is for my ex who broke my heart. Everytime I see her I’ll just sing the line “never mind I’ll find someone like you… I wish nothing but the best for you too….”

Paskong Walang Hannga by Jose Javier Reyes music by Mr.Ryan Cayabyab my favorite Christmas song….One of the most beautiful songs ever composed for the Christmas Season. A touching reminder that the people around you are the ones who make you witness Christmas everyday of the year.
